In Avengers: Endgame, Thanos (Josh Brolin) attacked the Avengers Compound, leaving destruction and rubble in his wake. Though Happy seems out of his depth, there are extenuating circumstances. However, he's clearly not suited to be in charge of Stark's asset management, and he's lucky villains didn't steal more powerful items besides Ronin's retractable sword. Happy has been with Stark Industries for years, so it makes sense that he'd eventually climb up the corporate ladder. And with Ronin's outfit and sword showing up at a shady auction for rich people, it's clear Happy simply can't keep things from falling into the wrong hands. For example, he ignored warnings about the transport being in danger in Homecoming, leaving Peter Parker to clean up his mess. Time and time again, Happy Hogan fails at his job. According to the auctioneer, someone recovered them from " the wreckage of the Avengers Compound." Though Kate Bishop dons the Ronin costume to hide her identity as she fights off villains, the items showing up at the auction reveal Iron Man's serious flaws in judgment when it comes to appointing Happy as the man to look out for the Avengers assets, particularly in their most vulnerable times. Ronin's retractable sword and outfit are among these items.

In the series premiere, Kate Bishop winds up at the underground auction where several rare and expensive items go up for sale. Hawkeye introduces a twist that makes Iron Man look silly. In the film, Hogan is in charge of asset management and oversees the transfer of Stark property from Avengers Tower to the group's new facility. Later, Iron Man makes Happy Hogan, who's also one of Stark's friends, the Head of Security for Stark Industries, and Happy takes on even more responsibility in Spider-Man: Homecoming. The character first appeared as Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) security detail/chauffeur in Iron Man, but he eventually climbed up the ranks. Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) has had a long journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
